Reims, March 2022
The 26th worldwide Berlin Wine Trophy competition awarded Gold Medals to three Tsarine cuvées — Blanc de Blancs, Orium and Premium.
The competition is one of the largest and most important in the world. It is under the patronage of the OIV (International Organisation of Vine and Wine) and took place this year in late February and early March.
Approximately 15,000 wines from some forty countries were blind-tasted (this year with a specific protocol suited to health restrictions) by the 400 members of an international jury made up of oenologists, winegrowers, sommeliers, importers and specialized journalists.
Tsarine Blanc de Blancs is collecting medals
Launched last year, Tsarine Blanc de Blancs champagne is clearly “on a roll” this year. The Gold Medal at the Berlin Wine Trophy joins another Gold recently won at the Mundus Vini competition.
Very recently, Tsarine Blanc de Blancs was also selected in the 2023 edition of the Guide Véron des champagnes. These distinctions recognize the work done by Isabelle Tellier, Chef de Cave of the House of Chanoine Frères and creator of the Blanc de Blancs cuvée, launched in 2021 in an elegant black eco-designed bottle that preserves the organoleptic qualities of this refined and elegant champagne.
For more information on Tsarine Blanc de Blancs, see the tasting notes and food-wine pairings.
You’ll find Tsarine Blanc de Blancs only at fine wine dealers and on the Chanoine Frères online store.

Orium loves gold
Tsarine Orium also won a Gold Medal at the Berlin Wine Trophy 2022. The award is added to the three Gold Medals won in the spring of 2021:
Isabelle Tellier, Chef de Cave and creator of Tsarine Orium, talks about the extra-brut in the video below:“A subtle nose of yellow fruits, ample, silky mouthfeel, and a bracing mineral finish... Orium is an extra-brut that pleases people who like their champagne without artifice, precise and delicate.”
Tsarine Orium is available at the Chanoine Frères online store.

A fortieth distinction for Tsarine Premium
Premium Brut was again honored at the Berlin Wine Trophy, two years after the Gold Medal it received in the 2020 edition of the competition.
It is the fortieth distinction to be awarded to this emblematic Tsarine cuvée, whose inimitable style Isabelle Tellier, Chef de Cave, has been zealously maintaining since 2001 — a fresh and elegant champagne whose harmony is the result of a perfect balance among Chardonnay, Meunier and Pinot Noir wines.
Tsarine Premium also received a Gold Medal this year at the spring tasting of the Mundus Vini competition, held in February in Germany.
Tsarine Premium is available on the Chanoine Frères online store.
