Réserve Privée Celebrates Spring

Reims, Avril 2022

Fine weather has returned! To celebrate the good times of Spring, Chanoine Frères has a special offer on three Réserve Privée champagnes in a mixed case of six bottles at a special price of 110 € instead of 145 €, exclusively on the House’s online store.

The case of six 75-cl bottles contains:

- 4 bottles of Réserve Privée Brut, awarded a star in the Hachette Wine Guide

- 1 bottle of Réserve Privée Brut Rosé

- 1 bottle of the vintage Réserve Privée Millésime 2015.

  • The Réserve Privée Brut cuvée is a gilt-edged value. It was again awarded a star in 2022 (after 2020 and 2018) in the Hachette Wine Guide, which calls it “a subtle and elegant champagne.” Chef de cave Isabelle Tellier says “Réserve Privée Brut has body because it is structured by the Pinots Noirs from the Côte des Bar, largely from the village of Les Riceys, which is in the south, in the sunniest part of the appellation. These grapes give it temperament, a rich palate, and fruity notes.”

  • The Rosé, with its remarkably delicate bubbles and ruby color, is an expressive champagne with a smooth and velvety mouthfeel, with lovely notes of red fruits. Its blend of a majority of Pinot Noir grapes makes it a rosé champagne of character. In her tasting notes, Isabelle says “on the palate it unveils a subtle balance between velvety and robust. The well-balanced whole is a champagne that is lively, fruity, fresh and ample.”

  • Brut Millésime 2015 is a champagne of character, lively and distinguished, which has aged for five years in the House's cellars in Reims. Its blend is made up of 53% Pinot Noir and 47% Chardonnay, exclusively from the 2015 harvest. Isabelle Tellier says “2015 was a very good year for the Pinots Noirs from the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Bar, which give this vintage champagne its character.”

Réserve Privée by Isabelle Tellier: A philosophy and a style

In this video (1’09”), Isabelle Tellier, Chef de Cave and creator of the cuvées, presents “her” Réserve Privée, a family of champagnes rooted in the terroir and full of character.

“I blend these cuvées based on the typicality of the grape varieties. The Brut, the Rosé and the Millésimé are structured around Pinot Noir grapes — above all from the Côte des Bar [...].”

“Réserve Privée is both a philosophy of champagne and a lifestyle. These are champagnes for champagne lovers — fully-crafted wines, rich in taste. They’re meant to be drunk among friends, with people who love wine and the good dishes that go with it.”
