Reims, January 2023
Wine Enthusiast Magazine, the benchmark American publication in the realm of wines and spirits, has just awarded an excellent score to Tsarine Solium.
Tsarine Solium: 91/100
On Wine Enthusiast’s rating scale, a score of between 90 and 93/100 means “Excellent, highly recommended.” All tastings are done blind.
Wine Enthusiast’s notes say: "This Champagne is in a dry style, emphasizing acidity and vivid white fruits. Mainly Chardonnay, it has a fine touch of minerality and crispness…"
Another recent distinction obtained by the Tsarine Solium is a double gold medal at the International Challenge Gilbert & Gaillard 2022.
Tsarine Solium launched in the United States
Wine Enthusiast's high rating bodes well for Tsarine Solium Premier Cru, which recently made its debut at Total Wine, the leading US wine chain, in its shops and on its online shop.
Tsarine Solium presented by its creator
In the video “Tsarine Solium: The Art of Premier Cru” (length 1’09”) Isabelle Tellier, Chef de Cave of the House of Chanoine Frères, introduces her last creation for Tsarine — a champagne whose name, Solium, “is evocative of the sun and the soil of Champagne. Only wines from Premier Cru villages go into blending Tsarine’s Solium champagne.”
Presented in a bottle with splendid red-and-gold labelling, Tsarine Solium is a fresh and complex champagne whose blend is made up of 72% Chardonnay and 28% Pinot Noir grapes from Premier Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs, the Montagne de Reims and the Vallée de la Marne. It has aged at least forty months in the House's cellars in Reims.
For Isabelle Tellier, “Solium delivers a wealth of sensory pleasures — pleasures that are immediate and generous. Solium is for gifting and sharing. Many gourmet pairings with foods are possible; it goes with just about everything.”
