“Isabelle’s Champagnes”, a series of videos

Reims, October 2021

On the occasion of Isabelle Tellier’s marking 20 years with the House as Chef de Cave, Chanoine Frères is honoring her by working with her on a series of videos entitled Isabelle’s Champagnes.

A series of films to celebrate her 20 years as Chef de Cave

In this series of short films, Isabelle Tellier tells us about her profession, how she puts our champagnes together, and talks about several of the emblematic Tsarine and Chanoine Frères 1730 cuvées, which she has created. She does it in her own simple and direct, always precise way.

The films will be released from late October to early January on the House's blog, on LinkedIn, Facebook and also on the Chanoine Frères YouTube channel — subscribing is a good way to be sure not to miss any of the episodes — and the Chanoine Frères website.

The first film in the series Isabelle's Champagnes is entitled “Chef de cave — More than a profession; a passion” (duration 1’28”).

I see my profession of Chef de Cave as creative work, like creating a perfume that must be unique. […]

It’s more than a profession; it’s a passion. It motivates me to go farther and farther to find new inspirations, to always do better.”

An inspired creator

Appointed Chef de Cave at Chanoine Frères in 2001, Isabelle is one of the first women to have held that position in a champagne house.

Isabelle Tellier, passionate and authentic, is the creator of Tsarine Rosé, Tzarina, Chanoine Blanc de Blancs, the Chanoine Frères Réserve Privée champagnes, Tsarine's Orium cuvée and the new Tsarine Blanc de Blancs.

A graduate oenologist of the University of Reims Champagne Ardenne, Isabelle is a member of the Association Amicale des Chefs de Cave de Champagne (AACCC).

She is an inspired creator whose champagnes have received more than 160 distinctions in France and internationally — recognition of Isabelle Tellier’s talent, high standards and fondness for taking risks.
