2021 Hachette Wine Guide: A New Star for Tsarine Rosé

Reims, October 2020

Once again, Tsarine Brut Rosé has been recognized by the Hachette Wine Guide. In its new 2021 edition, just published, the Guide — a reference for wine lovers for 30 years — awards a new star to Tsarine Rosé (a star means “a good wine.”)

Of Tsarine Rosé champagne, the Hachette Wine Guide says “A rosé that has been mentioned in the Guide more than once. It is a blend of Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay in equal proportions and gets its assertive colour, an intense rose, from the addition of red wine. At first discreet, it delivers fresh scents of citrus fruit and candy. The red fruit – strawberry, wild strawberry and raspberry – is unveiled within a tonic, mineral, long palate.”

It’s one more award for Isabelle Tellier, Chef de Cave of the House of Chanoine Frères and Tsarine Rosé’s creator.

This has decidedly been a very fine year for Tsarine Rosé, which also won distinctions at the 2020 Concours mondial de Bruxelles in September after winning a double gold medal at theSakura Japan Women’s Wine Award at the start of 2020.
