Reims, June 2020
Chanoine Frères Réserve Privée is a range of three champagnes of character created by Isabelle Tellier, the House’s Chef de Cave, in a resolutely contemporary spirit.
“I’ve created champagnes that are typical of their terroir. I wanted them to be wines of character. The cuvées of our Réserve Privée assertively express the typicality of the Champagne grape varieties and put Pinot Noir on a pedestal.
Pinot Noir is a noble strain. It is difficult to work with, both in the vineyards and in the cellars. It gives body and a wealth of incomparable flavors to a champagne.
Structured around the best Pinots Noirs, and in particular those from Les Riceys, our three Réserve Privée cuvées have body. They are champagnes that aim at enthusiasts who want to rediscover the roots and the temperament of the terroir in the wines they choose to drink.”

Yes, one can both have temperament and be easy to get along with! Réserve Privée Brut is good for tasting among friends in a relaxed setting while toying with a little country ham accompanied by gougères (cheese puffs). Or simply with a board of cheese such as a Tomme d’Abondance!

Chanoine Frères Réserve Privée Millésime 2014
The 2014 vintage of Chanoine Frères Réserve Privée has aged for five years in the House’s cellars. The long maturing gives it a perfect balance between freshness and fullness. The blending of this vintage champagne is a good reflection of the year 2014, when the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay harvests were excellent.
To appreciate its rich nose and long, harmonious finish, don’t serve it too cold — ideally between 10° and 12° C. See the tasting notes for Réserve Privée Brut Millésime 2014.
Delicate and vivacious, it’s a fine choice of company for a festive dinner among friends, around a grenadine of veal with apples or perhaps a roast goose with sweet potatoes!
