Reims, September 2022
The Fall season is full of promise for Réserve Privée Brut champagne from Chanoine Frères, which has just won a Gold Medal in the 2022 Gilbert & Gaillard International Challenge.
The tasting jury say in their comments:
“A lovely gold colour. Nose fruity and acidulated, ripe.
On the palate a fine freshness in the attack, quite mellow; an aromatic finish with fine length.
A well delineated cuvée, complete, for a refined aperitif or buffet.”
Réserve Privée Brut is indeed finely delineated thanks to its creator, Chef de Cave Isabelle Tellier, who explains:
“— Réserve Privée Brut has body because it is given structure by Pinots Noirs from the Côte des Bar — in particular the village of Les Riceys, in the south, in the sunniest part of the appellation zone. These grapes give temperament, a rich palate and fruit notes.”
