Réserve Privée Brut Champagne Wins 2022 Gilbert & Gaillard Gold Medal

Reims, September 2022

The Fall season is full of promise for Réserve Privée Brut champagne from Chanoine Frères, which has just won a Gold Medal in the 2022 Gilbert & Gaillard International Challenge.

The tasting jury say in their comments:

A lovely gold colour. Nose fruity and acidulated, ripe.

On the palate a fine freshness in the attack, quite mellow; an aromatic finish with fine length.

A well delineated cuvée, complete, for a refined aperitif or buffet.

In this video (1’09”), Isabelle Tellier, Chef de Cave and creator of the cuvées, presents “her” Réserve Privée, a family of champagnes that are rooted in the terroir and full of character.

Réserve Privée Brut is indeed finely delineated thanks to its creator, Chef de Cave Isabelle Tellier, who explains:

— Réserve Privée Brut has body because it is given structure by Pinots Noirs from the Côte des Bar — in particular the village of Les Riceys, in the south, in the sunniest part of the appellation zone. These grapes give temperament, a rich palate and fruit notes.”
