A “remarkable wine” according to the Hachette Wine Guide for 2023
In its new edition, the Hachette Wine Guide awards Tsarine Premium Brut two stars — meaning that “the wine is remarkable.”
The Hachette Guide, which for over 30 years has been a reference for wine lovers, says in its tasting notes:
“Blended in thirds, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier have resulted in a brut with a bracing nose, delicate, with a lovely complexity, somewhere between brioche and fresh fruit.
After a rounded attack overflowing with ripe fruit, the bracing mineral finish leaves one with an impression of elegant rectitude."
The two stars awarded by the Hachette Guide are the 42nd distinction garnered by Tsarine’s emblematic cuvée, whose style Isabelle Tellier, Chef de Cave, constantly works to maintain: a fresh and elegant champagne with a harmony founded on a perfect balance among the three Champagne grape varieties.
Tsarine Premium continues to reap awards
These two stars in the 2023 Hachette Wine Guide are added to the three gold medals Premium has received in international competitions since the start of the year:
- The Mundus Vini competition
- and the Berlin Wine Trophy, both in Germany,
- and the Sakura Japan Women’s Wine Awards in Japan.
Isabelle, one of the first women to hold the post of Chef de Cave in Champagne, has won many awards for Tsarine Premium in France and internationally.
This 42nd distinction from the Hachette Guide confirms the high quality and the consistency of the Tsarine champagne, whose blending Isabelle has overseen since 2001.
“I recommend enjoying Tsarine Premium between 8°C and 10°C, and at aperitif time, I like to accompany it with small Comté cheese puffs, easy to make at home."
