Reims, September 2021
The Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
Champagne Tsarine, a partner since 2015, is happy to see the Rallye resume after the pandemic-related interruption in 2020.
What’s original about this rally? First of all, the teams participating are made up exclusively of women. The rally honors women’s strength and will to excel and exceed limitations and expectations — all values to which Tsarine is very attached.
It’s also a competition that renews the rally genre, since it is a race that requires driving precision and skill. Navigation is strictly by compass, using a map; GPS technology is not allowed. What counts is not speed, but finding the shortest possible route.
It is the only all-female off-road rally. All kinds of vehicles can compete — quad bikes, SSVs, motorcycles, 4WD vehicles, trucks, crossovers and dune buggies. The competition takes place in Morocco between 22 and 30 September, starting in Tangier, with a prologue and six races through the Moroccan desert. The prizes will be awarded 2 October in Essaouira.
This year’s event already promises to be a success, with 190 women’s teams registered to start — a total of 381 “gazelles” of 14 nationalities!
Good luck to all the gazelles for this thirtieth-anniversary Rallye!
