The 26th Alpe d'Huez International Comedy Film Festival ended on 22 January; the closing ceremony and prize awards took place on Saturday.
The Festival, the only one in Europe dedicated to comedy film and open to the general public, registered more than 15,000 entries in the four screening rooms of the Palais des Sports & des Congrès in the famous ski resort in France’s Isère.
Ten feature films and ten short films were in competition. Ten other films were presented outside the competition. The jury was chaired this year by famous actress Karin Viard, and numerous French actors/actresses and cinema professionals were on hand.
The awards for this 2023 Festival went to:
Grand Prize: Benjamin Lehrer for 38°5 Quai des Orfèvres
Special Jury Prize and Audience Prize: Les petites victoires by Mélanie Auffret
Best Actress Award: Brune Moulin in La plus belle pour aller danser by Victoria Bedos
Best Actor Award: William Lebghil in Les complices by Cécilia Rouaud
“Jury’s Favorite” Prize: 23 décembre by Miryam Bouchard
Tie for Best Short Subject: Le syndrome by Zulma Rouge and Cabane by Francis Magnin
Champagne Tsarine, official supplier to the Festival since 2014, is very pleased to be associated with this event with its Tsarine Blanc de Blancs and Tsarine Brut Rosé champagnes.
