Reims, September 2022
Yet another distinction for Tsarine’s Blanc de Blancs: the cuvée in the beautiful and unique black bottle has been awarded a double Gold Medal at the 2022 Gilbert & Gaillard International Challenge.
The comments of the tasting jury, who awarded a score of 90 points, read as follows:
“A lovely, limpid golden colour. The nose is pleasant, floral and fruity, and blossoms with aeration. On the palate the wine is connected, mellow, creamy with a delicious finish with delicate toasted accents.”
The international competition was created more than 30 years ago by the independent French group founded by Philippe Gaillard and François Gilbert. Published in 19 languages, the Gilbert & Gaillard Guide has become an international reference for wine professionals and wine lovers the world over.
Tsarine Blanc de Blancs: Quadruple Gold Medalist in 2022
The double Gold Medal in the Gilbert & Gaillard International Challenge is added to the three Gold Medals already won by Tsarine Blanc de Blancs this year:
at the Féminalise international wine competition in France
at the Berlin Wine Trophy world competition
and the Mundus Vini in Germany
It was also selected in the 2023 edition of the Guide Véron des champagnes.
Created by Chef de Cave Isabelle Tellier, Tsarine Blanc de Blancs is blended with the best Grand Cru Chardonnays from the famous Côte des Blancs south of Épernay. The bottle, with its very dark glass, is eco-designed to protect the organoleptic qualities of this highly refined and delicate champagne.
