Reims, 26 September 2019.
The launch of Orium, the new cuvée from Tsarine, took place on the evening of 12 September at an event hosted by the House of Chanoine Frères, in front of its cellars on the allée du Vignoble in Reims.
Isabelle Tellier, Head Wine-Maker, presented the Orium cuvée, of which she is the creator:
“— A new cuvée for Tsarine, first of all, means respecting the fundamentals. I’ve always focused on balance for Tsarine, with a very equal distribution among the three varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. For Orium I set out to achieve balance in all its purity and retain the typical qualities of each grape variety while reducing the amount of added sugar to produce what we call an extra brut…”
The evening also featured a retracing of the House’s three centuries of history in an original — and spectacular — way. A video mapping projected onto the immense façade of the cellars evoked the significant dates and the heritage of Chanoine Frères, made up of tradition and modernity, since 1730.
Under the starry sky of the Champagne more than 200 guests, customers, and friends of the House invited by Franck Coste, CEO of Champagne Chanoine Frères, shared the pleasure of discovering Orium, a delicate extra brut champagne in which nature has been allowed to express itself in all its purity.
