Reims, December 2022
Demi-Sec is the most recent addition to the Réserve Privée family. To accompany this elegant gourmand’s champagne of character, Isabelle Tellier, Chef de Cave, has concocted a festive menu that sets off the wine’s ever-so-slightly sweet, velvety taste.
Tasting notes for Réserve Privée Demi-Sec
The slightly amber-tinted golden color shows off the delicacy of the bubbles.
The nose is rich and delicate, revealing intense notes of pear, flowers and spices, whose flavors gradually and harmoniously emerge.
On the palate, the cuvée shows a lovely balance between freshness and creaminess. Flavors of candied and dried fruit underline a hint of licorice.
The finish is long and silky, made to be savored.
Blend: 60% Pinot Noir, 32% Meunier and 8% Chardonnay. Dosage 33 g/l.
A Christmas menu with Réserve Privée Demi-Sec
Isabelle Tellier, gourmet Chef de Cave and creator of the Réserve Privée champagnes, talked about the food-champagne pairings she recommends in this Christmas menu:
“- With its creamy mouthfeel, Réserve Privée Demi-Sec pairs easily with sweet notes. The prawns accented with honey and the chocolate bûche for dessert are good examples. This silky wine also goes well with foie gras, which makes a wonderful stuffing for turkey filets.”
