The major British monthly wine magazine Decanter has awarded Chanoine Frères’ Réserve Privée Rosé champagne a score of 92/100, which indicates a “highly recommended” wine under the publication’s rating system.
In her comments, written last May, Decanter’s highly experienced editor Amy Wislocki says the following about Réserve Privée Rosé: “Majority Pinots Noir and Meunier, this elegant and fullbodied Champagne includes 10% of red wine in the blend, from grapes grown mainly in the famous Les Riceys Rosé area. It’s quite vinous in style, with masses of juicy red berry fruit - wild strawberry and raspberry - and a good backbone. Dosage: 7g/L.”
Founded in 1975, Decanter is now the world’s leading media brand in the area of wine. The magazine — distributed in some one hundred countries — and its various publications are benchmarks for wine aficionados the world over.
Chanoine Frères’ Réserve Privée Rosé has also just been selected by Decanter as one of the “Best buys at Majestic Wine this summer.” The article says: “A new and impressive addition to Majestic's Champagne line-up, this rosé represents fantastic value for money at the mix six price. Chanoine Frères, established in 1730, but it's also been a pioneer, its cellarmaster Isabelle Tellier one of the first women to hold the position in a Champagne house when she was appointed back in 2001”
In the UK, Chanoine Frères’ Réserve Privée Rosé is available at Majestic Wine’s high-street stores as well as on its online store.
