Chanoine’s Réserve Privée Millésime 2014 champagne is definitely in the wind!
The 2021 Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships (CSWWC) have just granted a Silver Medal to Chanoine Frères’ 2014 vintage Réserve Privée.
In the CSWWC’s scoring system, a Silver Medal corresponds to a score of between 17 and 18/20. The wines are tasted by juries made up only of professionals, blind — in a plain glass with the bottle kept hidden.
The CSWWC — the most complete, most rigorous and most highly respected international competition for sparkling wines in the world — was held in September. 1,000 wines from 19 countries were in competition this year for the seventh edition of this true championship of the world.
The Silver Medal at the CSWWC 2021 is a new acknowledgement of the talent and skill of Isabelle Tellier, Chef de Cave of the House of Chanoine Frères and creator of the Réserve Privée champagnes.
The new award joins the two stars the Hachette Wine Guide has just given the 2014 vintage in its 2022 edition, signaling a “remarkable” wine. The Guide describes Réserve Privée Millésime 2014 as “a delicious and appetizing champagne.”
