Chanoine Frères: Wishes for the New Year 2022

Reims, 7 January 2022

Whilst 2021 has been a troubled year in many respects, it was a good one for champagne, which has shown strong new growth. With the fine weather and the economic recovery, champagne has confirmed – if that were necessary – that it is the irreplaceable wine for moments of conviviality, celebration, and shared good times.

The House of Chanoine Frères 1730 had an excellent year in 2021 in France and internationally.

That was the result of the quality of our wines, the agility of our organizations, the dynamism of our brands – in particular Tsarine – and the unfailing commitment of our teams. I take this opportunity to thank them warmly, along with everyone – partners, customers and consumers – whose confidence we have earned.

All of this is cause for optimism for 2022… and beyond.

For this new year, let us hope, above all, that we can leave this epidemic situation behind us and quickly return to a normal life, enriched by all the good times that we share and savor with champagne.

Let us also hope that the next harvest will be a good one after last year’s greatly reduced yield. That is important because the winegrowers of Champagne are committed to the demands of a sustainable approach to viticulture.

Looking farther, the year 2030 will mark the 300th anniversary of the House of Chanoine Frères, founded in 1730. Our House looks to the building of its future: We shall continue to invest, to innovate and to share the pleasure of champagne, generation on generation, in France and around the world.

My very warmest wishes. Take good care of each other.

Franck Coste

Chief Executive Officer, Champagne Chanoine Frères
