Celebrate with Tsarine Solium

Reims, December 2022

The new member of the Tsarine family in 2022 is an elegant and fresh Premier Cru champagne with bracing minerality. Solium is all about immediate and generous pleasure. And that makes it the perfect choice for any festive meal.

Isabelle, Chef de Cave of the House of Chanoine Frères 1730 and creator of Tsarine Solium, had this to say about this menu that leans heavily on mushrooms:

Solium is a wine with body. It goes well with the truffle used to flavor the scallops for the starter and with the morels that accompany the veal for the main course. The dessert is an oven-roasted pineapple enhanced by a few sweet spices — star anise, saffron, and cardamom, which highlight Solium’s lime notes.

With its arresting red-and-gold packaging and labeling, Tsarine Solium is a fresh and complex champagne whose blend is made up of 72% Chardonnay and 28% Pinot Noir, all from Premier Cru villages in the Côte des Blancs, the Montagne de Reims and the Vallée de la Marne.

Only wines from Premier Cru villages go into blending Tsarine’s Solium cuvée. It is aged for at least forty months in the House’s cellars in Reims.

Tsarine Solium Brut should be enjoyed ideally at between 8°C and 10°C, throughout the meal.

In the video “Solium, the Art of Premier Cru” (length 1’09”) Isabelle Tellier talks about this cuvée “whose name evokes the sun and soil of Champagne.”

Tsarine Solium, already a prize winner

Tsarine Solium, launched in the spring of this year, won a double gold medal in the 2022 Gilbert & Gaillard International Challenge.

It was also given a score of 91 points by Wine Enthusiast Magazine, the USA’s benchmark publication in the world of wines and spirits. Under Wine Enthusiast’s scoring system, a score of between 90 and 93/100 means “Excellent - Highly recommended.”
